Item 033 is an hourglass. This hourglass is made with white oak from a local mill, some tool steel from another project and a “Graces Dawn” hourglass I bought on Amazon (no endorsement or affiliation with either, just describing the item.).
I filled in the top and bottom mounting points with purple resin with lavender flowers set into it. I was listening to “Lavender Haze” by Taylor Swift at the time and I have a ton of lavenderin my garden (I do endorse the “Midnights” album and Taylor Swift in general ;).
This item measures 11 inches tall and 6 ½ inches wide. The hourglass is finished with shellac and polished with a mixture of mineral oil and beeswax.
