Small hand-crafted oak bowl with iron oxide interior

$68.00
Only 1 available

This small bowl weighs in at 3.7 ounces and is 4 ¾ inches wide, 2 ¼ inches tall, and a bowl depth of 2 inches. The bowl has a thin, rounded lip detail and a rounded foot detail. The interior was turned black with iron oxide and sealed with a thin coating of shellac. The bowl is finished with mineral oil and bees wax.

The bowl has a subtle curve from the bottom to the top. The medullary rays flare upwards from the center knot. The center knot is shaped a little like an umbrella and the piece seems to be defect-free.

This bowl makes a great display item or a holder of small, but important items. It is large enough to hold your keys, change, and some other items.

To care for this bowl, simply wipe with mineral oil when the color begins to lighten and the wood looks dry.
